How did you know Louise Delage ?

I am not an Instagram person at all, so I never heard about Louise before, until some French newspaper did an article about her. The headline was something like: "Can you guess what is wrong in these pictures?" so it made me curious and I tried to get it. I didn't and read the article to know what was supposed to be wrong. That is how I knew about her.

What reaction had you when you knew that Louise Delage was a false account ?

I was not surprised to see she was a fake account, it seemed obvious to me. A beautiful girl, always in perfect sceneries, with great light and amazing poses and her pictures... Everything seemed a bit too perfect for the average Instagram user. At first I thought she was one of those people that earn a living thanks to Instagram by doing disguised advertisements, like these girls that are paid to always wear one brand with the logo shown in a subtle yet obvious way, or even those that receive "gifts" from brands just to thank them in the legend to advertise them. What surprised me though was that the account was actually used to convey awareness on a health issue.

Of what you think of a campaign against the alcoholism create with the social networks ?

I think it is definitely a great idea to do a campaign on social media for such important issues since we know that these media have a huge impact on our modern societies. They represent a new platform that is useful when exploited wisely I believe. But I think this campaign in particular was a bit of let down since the supposed alcoholism of the girl wasn't obvious at all. First, I'm pretty sure people on Instagram don't only follow one account, so they must see one hundred pictures a day at least. How could they remember what was this girl's picture last week or last month, and a detail like "she had a drink in her hand"? Moreover, in lots of picture you could think she's just drinking orange juice or water. It would have seen really far fetched to declare Louise was alcoholic just from these small clues. So maybe it was too subtle, but the idea seems really good to me and I hope it will be recreated in the future.
